DISCOVERY
Not far ago not far away,
There was a girl, little and gay,
She had a dream and ideas so rare,
Her folks were there, smiles and care.
And she was growing secure n sound,
In a place which was cozy n brown,
And a tinge of innocence in her eyes.
Those eyes which grandma loved,
And the sparkle that for ever glow,
But time is so beautiful and never still,
She had to move as its time to be in real.
And she tried places where she wanted to be,
Where her dreams can see a light n the day,
But her theories were unheard by people there,
And she was left lonely and scared.
She went to a place she never imagined,
She met people she could never think of,
No fauna and flora she ever dreamt of,
But still those eyes held that glory.
She reincarnated her fragile thoughts,
To make them suit to what people care,
She did things which were applauded,
She was not at all herself then.
And she was not scared anymore,
But solitude was her mentor now,
She feared betraying her true dreams,
For the sake of smiles so fake.
And yet, she allowed the wind to blow her,
And allowed those flowers she loved to fall,
She saw the change which she accepted,
Saw them with her eyes not so bright.
She turned to her mentor more often now,
And that dark silence hugs her in sleep,
And she dreams in black and white,
She thought maybe she is colorblind.
And then one fine sunny day,
She witnessed a butterfly from a cocoon,
And she was aghast as she realized,
How a struggle bears great colours.
And she knew then, it is her decided struggle,
And no red blue and green will be there, until,
She nutures what she sees, and bare what pains,
To get the light she once brimmed with,
And hold on and yet move with time,
To the destiny she always planned,
People had to be convinced,
Its time for them to change, not her,
And one day when she will reach her place,
A poetry will be there to let the people know.

Hey!! Keshie going through ur older posts.... This seems pretty much closed to you....I guess you haven't left the voyage of charting the poem in the concluding section...Hope to read it soon..:) This piece from you is brimming with honesty and determination, loved the narration ....jst a clarification needed in this line...."She nutures what she sees, and bare what pains"....shouldn't it be nurtures??
